iDetailAid 1.7.7

We are pleased to announce the release of iDetailAid 1.7.7 which will be available on Monday 9th April 2018.

This release of the platform introduces enhanced popups/overlays and provides additional events, data access and templating to allow more advanced content configuration.

Multiple overlays

Content creators are no longer restricted to the use of a single overlay or popup design. iDetailAid now allows for multiple overlay styles to be included as part of the product brand.

Slide-level navigation customisation

Content editors can now alter the appearance of a global navigation collection at an individual slide level.

Each navigation item can either be hidden or have a predefined "Active" or "Disabled" state applied to it. This is useful for identifying where in the content flow a user is for example, or to enable a single navigation collection to be used across a wide variety of slides, reducing maintenance overheads.

String Templating in text areas

In iDetailAid, it is possible to use HTML code within slide content to persist data in local or session storage.

With the release of iDetailAid 1.7.7 content editors are now able to access this data within text content areas through the use of templating syntax.

See this article for further details.

Slide lifecycle events

More complex HTML interactions can be created by using iDetailAid slide viewer lifecycle events. This allows HTML5 code to be developed that can respond to events that take place inside a presentation.

See this article for further details.

Bug fixes

As always, there have also been a number of minor issues resolved and bugs squashed.
