iDetailAid 1.7.1¶
We are pleased to announce the release of iDetailAid 1.7.1 which will be available on Tuesday 10th January 2017.
This is a major platform release in which permissions, roles and user account management have been redesigned. There have also been additional improvements to the Veeva publisher and slide editor.
Enhanced permissions¶
As part of the 1.7.1 release of iDetailAid, roles and permissions have been made much more granular. It is now possible to have different roles within the system at both a brand and territory level.
For example, a user can be an editor for "Product A" in the United Kingdom, but a publisher for "Product A" in Germany.
"Viewer" Role¶
An important new role has also been introduced in the 1.7.1 release of iDetailAid - Viewer. If a user is assigned this role, they will be able to only be able to view that content.
This will further speed up approval and allow a greater level of collaboration between organisations, brands, agencies and affiliates.
User Account Management¶
The User Account Management area of the platform has been redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up to provide a management interface that is intuitive and easy to use.
It is now much easier to administer users in the system at a platform, organisation, brand and country level.
Slide categorisation¶
In iDetailAid 1.7.1, it is possible to categorise slides in iDetailAid, assigning additional metadata to content for filtering or reporting purposes.
Categories can be configured at a platform, brand and country level.
Passing custom information to Veeva¶
A further enhancement to the Veeva integration configuration is the ability to pass presentation, slide or asset metadata to Veeva Vault at publish time.
This extends functionality introduced in iDetailAid 1.6.5 and provides a facility to populate standard or custom fields with information from iDetailAid.
Bug fixes¶
As usual, there have also been a number of minor issues resolved and bugs squashed.
